The fourth and most anticipated challenge of the retreat is happening in this episode. We all agree that making a good impression is essential but at the same time, we strongly believe that showing your own individual style is essential - no one wants to look like digital copies of each other when attending an event. This year, we have divided the August Man A-Listers into pairs, and given each pair the same item that they have to accessorise and dress up in, with their own personal touch. Partnering with ck Calvin Klein, we visited the flagship store at Ion Orchard, which offered the full collection for the gentlemen, and they were given 25 minutes to put together a look while our judges observed.

Although fashion and style are rather personal choices, the judges - namely Lani Chan, head of style services at Club21, and Wei Choong, August Man's fashion editor - were asked to judge the gentlemen based on how far they took their own sense of style and adapted it to a fashionable and trendy attitude portrayed in the clothes. This wasn't a challenge on how well the clothes fitted them; the guys were judged on boldness, being fashionably appropriate and how well they pulled off the item with various accessories.

Amidst the flurry of activity in the store, and with a plethora of assistants to help the guys prep, we found that the guys were more than up to the task. In fact many looked as if they had been fully prepped for a fashion challenge. Check out what happens at the Dress Code challenge this week.
