Meet Myrne, The Breakout Singaporean EDM Producer
Call it sheer dumb luck or pure hard work but Myrne is riding high after recently being signed on to Mad Decent, well-renowned producer Diplo's record label. Myrne's remix of 'To U' first piqued the interest of Paul Devro, Mad Decent's creative director who then reached out to him and asked whether he had any more tracks.
MYRNE, real name Manfred Lim, hunkered down to work and taking two months to create his five-track EP Softsins. Diplo listened to Lim's creation and signed him. Myrne recently worked with trap music legend UZ to release his own remix of UZ's track 'Trap Shit 16'.
Now Myrne is on a meteoric rise to stardom, performing in festivals all over the world including Ultra Korea. He'll be in Singapore for Ultra as well as It's The Ship. If you haven't had the chance to listen to his music, a good place to sart will be Softsins below. It's a fascinating departure from the usual big room EDM you tend to hear now, with lots of classical music signatures due to his training as a pianist. Check it out below.
