Chasing Time

It's hard not to be fans of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team, to be frank. Call us bandwagoners if you'd like but the team's continuous domination of the tracks over the season has been something absolutely delightful to watch. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, have each brought home six wins out of the 13 races (as at time of publishing) - pushing Mercedes' points to double that of its closest competitor. Both drivers will be down on our shores before the Singapore leg of the race to strut their stuff and fans will be remiss to miss out on the opportunity to sneak a peek at Mercedes' golden boys.

Sneaking a peek is one thing, if you want to prove your mettle, a special F1 racing simulator will be set up next to the IWC Schaffhausen boutique on B1 level of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, and will be open to the public from 10am to 10pm daily. Members of the public are invited to challenge the race The challenge will conclude on 18 September 2016, with the last lap time entry recorded at 6pm. The winning race lap time will win exclusive F1 merchandise signed by Lewis Hamilton. The 2016 Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton will also be making an exclusive appearance at MBS on the 14th of September where he will set his race lap time, and meet members of the public in a Q&A session.

If the smooth-talking Brit isn't quite your fancy, Nico Rosberg will be making the media rounds as well. Over at ION Orchard, a full scale replica of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team's garage will be on display, showcasing the engineering behind the machines of the brand. Get up close and personal with the new safety car of the season too while you're at it. Rosberg will make an exclusive public appearance at this garage showcase on 15 September 2016, where he will engage in a public Q&A session. The public will also be invited to participate in an on-site contest, to guess Nico Rosberg’s race day fastest lap time. Entries must be submitted on-site at the garage showcase before 10pm on Saturday, 17 September 2016.
