Raymond Weil shows off the Maestro collection
Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil has long been recognised for its association to the arts, a tradition that has run in the family-owned company. One of the rare independents left in the world of horology, the brand recently unveiled the latest additions to its Maestro collection.
Maestro, which translates to master or teacher in the Italian language and usually conferred on master musicians, is an apt name for a collection that pays tribute to the symphonic geniuses of concerto music. Introduced back in 2010, the collection has cemented itself as one of Raymond Weil's more contemporary and popular ranges.
This year, the brand released the update of its Raymond Weil Maestro Chronograph. Set on a silver dial encased in rose gold, the watch is a testament to simplistic style. Classy yet maintaining the sportiness of chronographs, the new Maestro Chronograph leaves space on the dial for a beautiful sunray guilloché decoration that adds a touch of refinery to the piece. The two subdials at nine o'clock and three o'clock, the half hour counter and seconds counter respectively, do not clutter the dial, presenting a clean aesthetic to the watch. Powered by the automatic RW7230 movement, the watch comes with a brown alligator-style calf leather strap, with saddle stitching and polished stainless steel rose gold PVD plated ardillon buckle that compliments the case made of the same stainless steel in a mesmerising hue.
In addition to the Maestro Chronograph, Raymond Weil has also released its Maestro Three Trois Aiguilles Or Rose (Three Hands Rose Gold) watch. An homage to classic dress watches, the piece is a modest representation of an understated style. The central “clou de Paris” decor on the dial is a sophisticated flair, spicing up the watch's aesthetic. It's a great watch for the well-dressed man and one that adds a touch of class to any outfit.
Fitting faultlessly alongside Raymond Weil's previous collections, the Maestro range is the perfect range for the man of style and one that can appreciate tradition.
