In a New York Minute with Adrian Pang
The New York Minute once referred to the blinding pace at which New Yorkers lived their lives. Charles Tiffany, founder of the world-famous luxury house Tiffany & Co., understood the speed at which the city’s heart beat but at the same time, wanted to inspire appreciation for the significant moments and milestones in one’s life.
This ethos is something shared by the leading men we talked to recently. A penchant for going against the norm and excelling in their respective fields, these men embody the principles of Tiffany & Co. – a commitment to pushing boundaries and accomplishing their goals, one New York minute at a time.
Adrian Pang, 50
The ever-growing theatre and television credits of Adrian Pang is testament to the leading man’s love for storytelling. From his eight-year stint in UK theatre and television to his rise as Singapore’s go-to actor and host, Pang has shown an ability to flip effortlessly back and forth from drama to comedy – absolute production gold. In 2010, Pang and his wife set up their own theatre production Pangdemonium and has spent the past six years pushing Singaporean theatre forward. As he puts it, Pangdemonium’s choices in the plays and musicals lie in the stories and lessons to be learnt from them.
Pang shared with us on the differences of working on theatre and television, drawing emotions for the stage and significant moments in his life in a special one on one video.
