10 Fashion People to Follow on Instagram
On a slow day, we here at August Man, will whip out our phones and turn to Instagram for entertainment. More often than not, we tend to search the hashtag, #fashion, and scroll through the thousands of posts dedicated to it just to see the different opinions on what an Instagram-worthy fashion post is. We realise that there's just too many fashion Instagram accounts out there so we've narrowed down ten accounts to check out that you might not have come across yet.
Alex Badia @thealexbadia

True to his position as the Fashion Editor at WWD and Fashion Director at M Magazine, Alex Badia’s Instagram feed is fashion to the core. A huge majority of the photos are of runway shows from his frow (that’s front row, for the uninitiated) seat, peppered with some selfies and pictures of his feline pal, Lulu.
Glen Luchford @_glen_luchford

Glen Luchford is most recently known for capturing Gucci’s romantic and accessories-driven ad campaigns. We always appreciate a well-curated Instagram feed and this is definitely one carefully thought out gallery of fashion and vintage-treated photos.
Marc Jacobs @themarcjacobs

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs started his personal Instagram account only over four months ago but has amassed 305k followers. And it’s not difficult to see why – wefies with celebrity friends, behind-the-scenes fashion, gratuitous topless selfies and special appearances of his equally insta-famous dog, Neville Jacobs.
Xavier Dolan @xavierdolan

At 20 years old, Xavier Dolan released his first feature film, I Killed My Mother (J'ai tué ma mère), which he wrote, directed and starred in. The film drew international acclaim and led him to win multiple film awards, photoshoots in fashion magazines and is now the face of Louis Vuitton’s latest men’s ad campaign. Save for his own photoshoots in magazines, his Instagram feed isn’t fashion-centric but are quite cinematic.
Marcel Floruss @onedapperstreet

Marcel Floruss could very well be a professional model because he looks good in every #ootd. Just like his handle suggests, this is one account you should take note of the next time you need dapper outfit inspirations. Brands are also tagged and credits on his posts too so you know where to shop the pieces you like.

Having scored partnerships with Colette, Kate Spade, Apple, Nike and LVMH among others, Craig Redman and Karl Maier’s Instagram feed is the burst of colour that will chase your Monday blues away. Their simplicity and bold graphic artworks need no critical eyes to appreciate.

The duo behind Italian menswear blog TheThreeF, shares the same sense of Italian style, first name and the ability to take really great pictures. They’re almost always at the same location so there is consistency in their posts but it is interesting to see the different points of view.
Olivier Rousteing @olivier_rousteing

If Taylor Swift has her squad, Olivier Rousteing has his #BalmainArmy. The young fashion designer behind luxury fashion house Balmain, constantly rubs shoulders with the Kardashian-Jenners and shows appreciation through his posts for every celebrity that wears a Balmain on the red carpet, which explains his staggering 1.3 million followers on Instagram. If you’re anticipating Balmain’s collaboration with H&M, follow him because he will probably drop some sneak peeks towards the release.
Brad Goreski @mrbradgoreski
A photo posted by Brad Goreski (@mrbradgoreski) on Sep 20, 2015 at 6:08pm PDT
Before being a celebrity stylist on his own right, Brad Goreski was Rachel Zoe’s trusty assistant in The Rachel Zoe Project. Allegedly, they had a falling out when Brad decided to branch out on his own but as his posts prove, there’s nothing to be sad about. The Canadian-born had his own reality show, was Kate Spade’s exclusive brand stylist and is now a co-host on Fashion Police.

An entire gallery of street style photography, Monsieur Jerome captures the best street style fashion from fashion weeks and highlights details that he likes. He has captured some Singaporean members of the fashion industry too, proving that Singaporeans can be fashionable.
We can’t come up with a list of fashion insiders to follow on Instagram without of course, pimping our own August Man Instagram account - @augustman.
