Forget your boring black wayfarers and chrome aviators, here are some funky frames for you. Since 2003, AM Eyewear has strived to make frames that stand out from the mainstream. Eight years on, it’s astounding to see how far the brand has come from a young upstart company to a brand with a cult following.
 
Aside from the outrageous designs, one thing distinguishes AM eyewear frames from most other brands - every acetate frame from the company is made using Mazzucchelli cellulose acetate. This special material needs to be hand cut, bent and polished by skilled craftsmen. Each frame is individually hand-made and takes up to 14 hours to produce. Not an easy feat, which also means, each frame is difficult to reproduce in Fordist scale.
